Warm weather brings rise in incidents
Over the past week or so we have seen an increase in Thefts/ Suspicious Incidents from businesses in the EDZ BID during opening hours. With the weather being warmer external doors/shutters are being left open to allow the air to circulate. Opportunists believed to be from a travelling background have been visiting the EDZ BID area around the time the thefts have taken place. We would ask all staff to be vigilant when going about their day to day business and don’t be afraid to challenge anybody who you believe should not be there. If you have information or would like to report a matter please contact Blackburn Police. In an emergency ring 999 or if not please call 101. The South East Neighbourhood Policing Team can be contacted on 01254 676908. Regards PC 3815 Stewart Duckworth
